SYRACUSE COE OFFICE FOR INDUSTRY COLLABORATION TECHNOLOGY APPLICATION & DEMONSTRATION AWARD

Syracuse CoE OIC Technology Application and Demonstration awards grow the Central Upstate New York economy by funding the thorough, collaborative testing of environmental quality product and service innovations as a step toward commercialization. Commercialization of innovations is funded by the Commercialization Assistance Program.

TAD projects considered for awards demonstrate the "first proof of principle" or "reduction to practice" phase of a new product or service associated with air and water quality in built and urban environments. These are competitively awarded funds.

New York Creative Core companies that have benefited from TAD grants include CollabWorx, Environmental Laboratory Services, Propulsive Wing, Taitem Engineering, Widetronix, Air Innovations, HAPControl, Isolation Systems, OrthoSystems, and Phytofilter Technologies

Photo: Propulsive Wing of Elbridge, NY won a 2007 TAD award to test its "Multi-Use Personal Ventilation/Filtration System." The testing is taking place at the Syracuse University Building Energy and Environmental Systems Laboratory.
