SYRACUSE CENTER OF EXCELLENCE ANNUAL PROGRESS REPORTS

Each year, the Syracuse Center of Excellence publishes its Annual Progress Report, highlighting the progress and innovations of the previous year. Excellence Rising: Creating Innovations to Improve Built and Urban Environments

“‘Intellectual collisions’ lead to economic growth,” writes Syracuse Center of Excellence Board Chairman R. Leland Davis. “This was a year of building sustainable structures. Our philosophy for a sustainable organizational structure is to create an environment that fosters industry-university partnerships. These are partnerships that are not legislated or forced, but rather are collaborations.”
Inside the 2006 Annual Progress Report read about industry-university partnerships and intellectual collisions, including:

• Northeast Biofuels’ plans to bring ethanol production to Fulton, NY.

• Northeast Natural Homes’ High Environment Performance home prototype.
