The SyracuseCoE Center for Sustainable Community Solutions (CSCS) fosters resilience in communities by supporting and connecting natural, built, and social systems. We do this through innovative and collaborative approaches in education, policy, and technology.
CSCS works to translate environmental research, technology and policy into real and tangible change for the communities we work with. The efforts of CSCS result in improved water and wastewater infrastructure, decreased energy consumption, reduced waste streams, innovations accelerated into the marketplace, and better informed leaders and community members.
With a firm understanding of the complex barriers inherent in implementing successful environmental innovations, CSCS works with and trains leaders in local government, community organizations, technical assistance organizations, state agencies, and academic institutions to create sustainable community solutions.
